Job summary

Santa Marta Senior Living is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to safely move residents to medical appointments, shopping, and activities. You will assist residents boarding and exiting vehicles, perform basic vehicle inspections, and keep accurate mileage and fuel logs.

The role requires a patient, compassionate demeanor and adherence to safety protocols. The driver will work 10–15 hours weekly, including Saturdays and select evenings, with extra hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license required; CDL with passenger endorsement may be required.
• Experience driving large vehicles or transporting passengers preferred.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility, including lifting up to 30 lbs and supporting up to 200 lbs.

A Senior Living Transportation Driver is responsible for safely and courteously transporting elderly residents to various destinations, such as medical appointments, shopping centers, and recreational activities. This role is crucial in ensuring that seniors maintain their independence and access to essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Operate company vehicles, including cars and buses, to transport residents to scheduled activities and appointments.
• Resident Assistance: Assist residents in boarding and disembarking vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections ofvehicles, report maintenance needs, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
• Scheduling Coordination: Collaborate with transportation coordinators to manage and update transportation schedules, accommodating changes as necessary.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for residents.
• Community Engagement: Represent the organization positively by interacting respectfully with residents, families, and community members.

Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, including Saturdays, select weekdays, and occasional evenings.
