Job summary

The City of Golden seeks a part-time yoga instructor to teach classes for youth, adults, and seniors. Mon/Wed 10:15-11:15am availability is preferred, with flexibility for other days/times.

Responsibilities include teaching, coordinating music, and assisting in program evaluation. Must have CPR certification and yoga teaching credentials, with at least five years of practice and one year of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years practicing yoga with at least one year teaching experience.
• Current certification in one or more yoga disciplines or affiliations required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Yoga classes for youth, adults, and seniors.
• Coordinate and prepare music and choreography for class routines as needed.
• Assist Recreation Coordinator - Fitness with program evaluation and improvements.
• Handle problems or emergencies during classes and report to supervisor.
• Promote exercise safety and best practices.
• Set up and take down equipment; keep space organized.
• Secure a substitute when unable to work a class.
• Follow department policies with a professional attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.
