Job summary

RurAL CAP in Alaska is seeking a part-time Community Wellness Assistant to support the Hooper Bay Wellness Project. This role averages 10 hours per week and includes helping plan and host activities with the Wellness Coordinator.

The successful candidate will assist with program design, outreach, logistics, and documentation, working with local leaders and partners to promote activities and collect progress information.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Background checks (state and federal) including fingerprints.
• Experience in community development, public health, wellness, education, program management, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement policies and service standards.
• Excellent written and analytical skills.
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic.
• Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, implementation, and evaluation of program services with input from staff and partners.
• Conduct outreach activities and help plan and implement events.
• Provide logistical support and coordination for events and meetings; prepare materials.
• Publicize project activities with community leaders and partners.
• Submit progress reports and support program evaluation in the community.
• Attend supervisory meetings and required training; network with staff and partners.
