Job summary

The City of Green Bay Police Department is seeking part-time Community Service Officers to support staff with paraprofessional tasks. Responsibilities include directing traffic, preparing reports, security at City Hall, and security checks at City buildings and parks, plus responding to animal calls.

Work is under the supervision of an on-duty supervisor or Police Officer. Successful candidates will have conflict resolution skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) preferred.
• Must have acceptable personal and professional history as determined by successfully completing a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and assist with paraprofessional tasks.
• Prepare reports and document departmental activities.
• Provide security at City Hall and conduct security checks at City buildings and parks.
• Respond to animal calls as needed.
• Work under the supervision of an on-duty supervisor or Police Officer.
