CAMBA Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard for Gabriel House Supportive Housing Program on-site at 2044 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, New York, NY 10025. Responsibilities include controlling access, maintaining safety, and assisting visitors, with required NYS Guard licensure and training.

Compensation is $18.54 per hour. This role reports to the Assistant Program Manager and supports residents and staff at the Gabriel House location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• NYS Security Guard license or registration where applicable.
• Required certifications: Fire Guard (F02), annual in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to ensure the order and security of people and property
• Detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules
• Maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved
• Protect employees, visitors, and clients
• Observe and report irregularities such as unusual behavior, property damage, fire hazards, etc.
• Provide directions to visitors when requested.

Education

NYS Security Guard license

8 hour Pre-Assignment security guard training

16 hour On-the-Job security guard training

8 Hour Annual In-Service Course

Fire Guard (F02) certification

NYS Security Guard registration
