Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory East Cleveland Corps Community Center is seeking a Recreation Assistant II to support program services under the Community Center Manager. You will help plan and deliver programming for youth, teens, adults, and seniors, supervise activity areas, assist with events, and aid in promotions.

The role offers a part-time schedule at $16.50/hour for 15 hours per week, with requirements including a high school diploma or current senior status, ability to lift 50

• High school diploma or current senior in high school.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day planning, organizing and developing programming for Community Center (Youth Drop-In, Open Gym, etc.).
• Assist with enforcement of rules, program evaluation, fitness area supervision.
• Be heavily engaged in recreational programming for youth, teens, adults & seniors as directed.
• Organize and supervise tournaments (Ping Pong, Chess, Karate, Basketball, Volleyball, etc.).
• Assist with program administration including record keeping, statistical tracking, supplies inventory and equipment inventory.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of all activities, including special events.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings and contribute to promotions.
