Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Program Assistant on a part-time basis. The role involves 2nd shift responsibilities, overseeing program integrity, and supporting beneficiaries on their recovery journey.

You will manage daily reports, supervise activities, and respond to emergencies. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and basic math/reporting abilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain overall center security.
• Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings.
• Supervise medication calls and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and Safe From Harm documentation.
• Conduct regular bed checks.
• Implement and coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Assist in resolving beneficiary problems.
• Train and supervise work therapy assignments; assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
• Administer drug and alcohol screening tests as required.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic data entries.
• Document program violations and incidents.
• Participate in professional development training.
• Support center policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure program compliance.
