Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln in the Bronx seeks a Community Liaison Worker Level I for a temporary grant-funded role. The position supports liaison work between City agencies, residents, and community organizations, with a fixed shift of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

and 16 weekly hours. Responsibilities include interviewing stakeholders to identify housing and development needs, preparing informational materials, training staff, and producing written and oral reports, under direct supervision.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time government or community organization experience in providing community services or assisting residents.
• Six months training program plus six months of related experience may substitute for the above.
• Preference given to applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in liaison functions between City agencies, residents, and community organizations under supervision.
• Interview residents, landlords, government personnel, business people and youths to solicit support for community development.
• Interview staff and representatives of governmental, educational, and social agencies to secure information and relay it to communities.
• Assist in preparing and distributing informational materials relating to programs and activities.
• Assist in training subordinate staff.
• Make written and oral reports as required.
• Keep records related to programs and activities.
