Job summary

The UpCounty Hub in Germantown, MD is seeking an Operations Assistant to support receiving food donations, organizing for distribution, and packaging for drive-thru events. This part-time role reports to the Warehouse Logistics Manager and involves helpingStaff with volunteer drivers and food packers.

Responsibilities include unpacking donations, preparing distributions, moving pallets with pallet jacks, and assisting at community events. DOT card and ability to lift 40 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
• Must be able to assist during community distributions.
• Must be able to drive and operate Hub vehicles including trucks.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Must be able to work the 7:30am shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record donations.
• Unpack and separate produce deliveries.
• Unpack and organize donations.
• Prepare food and donations for drive-thru distribution.
• Assist staff with volunteer drivers and food packers.
• Attend all community distributions and events.
• Move pallets with pallet jacks.
• Break down boxes for recycling and maintain Hub spaces.
• Drive hub vehicles with liftgate to various locations.
• Other duties as required.
