Haywood Community College in North Carolina seeks an in-person instructor for COM 231 and COM 120 for Spring 2027. Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in communication or related subject area required; availability for Mon/Wed mornings and/or Tue/Thu afternoons.
Preference for prior college teaching and Moodle familiarity; multiple sections and syllabus development anticipated. The instructor will deliver lectures, lead discussions, assess student performance, and maintain records in

Master’s degree in communication or related subject area. Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Experience teaching to dual enrollment or early college students. Familiarity with Moodle or other learning management systems.
Teach in-person sections of COM 231 – Public Speaking and COM 120 – Interpersonal courses during the Spring 2027 semester.
Eligible candidates for the in-person position must be available to teach during the following times:
COM 120 – Interpersonal Communication (1 section) Tues/Thurs 10-11:15 am
COM 231 – Public Speaking (3 sections) Tues/Thurs 1-2:15 pm, Mon/Wed 8:30-9:45 am, Mon/Wed 10-11:15 am
