Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Evansville campus seeks qualified adjunct faculty to supplement instructional needs. Adjunct roles are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

The adjunct faculty member will create a learning environment that helps students reach their goals; provide effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher and the ability to teach in-person at the

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
• Must be located to teach in-person at the Evansville, IN campus.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes and facilitate student learning.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught and follow syllabus content and requirements.
• Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
• Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
• Notify program/department chair in emergencies.
