Job summary

Pierce College District is seeking adjunct faculty for the College Success program in a part-time pool. The instructor will teach courses as assigned using the department's common curriculum and employ diverse teaching styles and technology to promote student success.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree and be affiliated with a Pierce College community partner (e.g., board member or volunteer). A one-day paid training will introduce instructors to Pierce College and the College Success

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Affiliation with a Pierce College community partner (e.g., board member or volunteer).

Responsibilities

• Teach course(s) as assigned.
• Use common curriculum provided by College Success department.
• Conduct assigned classes in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology.
• Be available to students before and after class either in-person or virtually.
• Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Be a point of connection between Pierce College students and their community organization.
