Code Ninjas Dayton is seeking a Part-Time Coding Instructor to mentor kids, teach coding concepts, and guide problem-solving in a dynamic classroom setting in Dayton, OH. The role offers a flexible schedule with evening and weekend shifts and opportunities for advancement.

Ideal candidates include high school students, CS or engineering students, recent graduates, or working adults passionate about technology and mentoring youth. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about coding and technology; Prior coding experience in at least one language is required.
• Experience with Scratch, MakeCode, JavaScript, C#, or Unity is a plus.
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and enjoys working with kids.
• Working history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, child care etc.).
• Works well with others; collaborates.
• Must be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments.

Responsabilités

• Training – go through the curriculum and learn it.
• Teach and mentor kids using our coding curriculum.
• Help students develop problem-solving, creativity, and critical-thinking skills.
• Create a fun, positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
• Follow opening/closing duties daily.
• Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards.
• Report daily to Center Manager with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo.
