Job summary

Code Ninjas in New York City is seeking a part-time Coding Instructor to teach kids aged 7–14 in a fun, safe learning environment. You will mentor students in coding and STEM activities, guiding hands-on projects and coding camps with enthusiasm and creativity.

The role supports a flexible schedule, ideal for educators or tech enthusiasts who want to make a positive impact while sharing strong foundational skills in JavaScript, Godot, and more. Training is provided to grow with the program.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or tutoring children ages 7–14 or similar.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced classroom and maintain positive behavior.
• Wamiliarity with coding concepts and willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor kids in coding and STEM curriculum, incl. JavaScript, C#, Unity, Godot, block languages, Minecraft.
• Create a positive, safe environment for student growth.
• Lead organized, safe classroom sessions and manage opening/closing duties.
• Facilitate hands-on activities in programming, robotics, and technology projects.
• Lead coding camps for multiple age groups and guide hands-on projects.
• Provide homework support and report daily activities to Lead Sensei and Program Manager.
