Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work in home care in the Wilson area. Typical hours include Monday-Wednesday from 12noon–5pm and Friday 1pm–4pm, with excellent pay.

The role involves assisting patients in their home with basic care, hygiene, meals, and daily activities while maintaining patient dignity and privacy. The CNA will follow the Plan of Care, document changes, and collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure high-quality health care in a home

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Maintain certification with DFS.
• Effective communication skills including reading, writing and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Perform personal hygiene care (bathing, grooming, oral care).
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as directed by supervising staff.
