Job summary

Civita Care Meadowbrook in Connecticut is hiring part-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. Openings on 1st and 2nd shifts, hourly rate of $21.64 with shift differentials for evenings, overnights, and weekends. Weekly pay.

As a CNA, you will provide routine daily nursing care under licensed staff, meet residents' needs, document and observe changes, and follow care plans. New graduates welcome; active CT CNA license required or in process.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work independently when needed.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals and non-professionals.
• Patience and enthusiasm to handle difficult residents.
• Willingness to incorporate new nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Meet nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Follow current resident care plans for all residents under your care.
• Complete assignments effectively and promptly.
• Observe changes and report them promptly.
• Document accurately and completely.
• Meet personal grooming needs for each resident.
• Answer call lights promptly and keep devices within reach.
• Keep care areas clean and orderly.
• Identify residents and ensure I.D. bracelets are correct.
• Demonstrate safety techniques per training and job duties.
• Perform other duties assigned by manager.
