Job summary

ModernMD is seeking an experienced part-time Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead clinical quality, provider performance, and clinical governance across our network of urgent care centers in Brooklyn and Queens. The CMO will work two days per week—one clinical and one administrative—owning clinical standards and overseeing Medical Directors and the provider team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with active NY license.
• Urgent care clinical experience preferred.
• Prior physician leadership or management experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care one day per week at a ModernMD urgent care center.
• Own clinical quality across the organization, including quality initiatives and documentation oversight.
• Establish and maintain clinical governance structures, including policies and standards of care.
• Support provider development through coaching and feedback.
• Coordinate regular communication with providers and assist with interviews and skills assessments.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to align clinical practice with efficiency and financial performance.
