Job summary

PeaceHealth in Vancouver, WA seeks a Part-Time Chief Medical Officer, Medical Southwest, to lead quality, safety, and clinical excellence. The CMO provides clinical, operational, and strategic leadership and reports to the Regional CMO.

The role focuses on patient care standards, accreditation readiness, and collaboration with the CNO and other leaders to improve outcomes and efficiency; requires WA physician licensure and 5+ years leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with residency in a medical or clinical specialty.
• MBA, MHA, or related business/health administration degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to improve quality, patient safety, and patient experience.
• Support development and implementation of evidence-based protocols and procedures.
• Lead quality monitoring and regulatory readiness activities.
• Collaborate with CNO and other leaders to promote a culture of safety and professional communication.
• Oversee resource utilization and clinical throughput in collaboration with operations.
