Job summary

McAlester Regional Health Center in Oklahoma seeks a Part-Time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) who has completed state-approved CMA training and holds CNA/CMA certifications. The CMA will provide resident care under the supervision of an LPN and administer medications as prescribed.

Responsibilities include documenting care, monitoring for medication effects and adverse reactions, recording vitals, and communicating with the LPN, RN, and family to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Current CNA and CMA certification in Oklahoma.
• Completion of CMA training program approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications per physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions; report concerns to the LPN.
• Obtain and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, BP).
• Assist with age-appropriate resident care planning and collaborate with the LPN, resident, and family.
• Communicate resident needs and condition changes to the LPN/RN or Director.
• Participate in interdisciplinary communication to support continuity of care.
• Perform CMA duties within scope of practice under supervision.
