Scripps Health is seeking a part-time CLS Educator to lead and mentor the CLS Training Program across hospital sites with partial remote flexibility. Occasional travel to Scripps locations and Sorrento Mesa may be required.

The role focuses on planning, development, and accreditation activities to sustain a high-quality education program for CLS learners. Strong organizational and instructional skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in CLS, MLS or related Allied Health required.
• California CLS license (generalist preferred) required.
• At least 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the CLS Training Program with the Program Director.
• Coordinate lectures, clinical rotations, faculty assignments, and online learning access.
• Maintain curriculum, training checklists, and program documents.
• Guide students through onboarding, licensure, and board exam prep.
• Track attendance, safety training, evaluations, rotations, exams, grades, and address issues.
• Provide student advising and deliver lectures as assigned.
• Support QA, outcomes tracking, and maintenance of program records.
• Collaborate with lab leadership and advisory board to ensure resources and relevance.
