Job summary

Accel Research Sites is seeking a Clinical Research Physician (Internal Medicine or Endocrinology) for a part-time role at Tampa Bay Medical Research in Largo. The physician will oversee daily trial activities, ensure protocol and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with sponsors and teams to maintain high-quality participant care.

Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with an active license, board certification, CPR, and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and active license in the state of practice.
• Board certification in area of specialty is required.
• CPR required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records; ability to type 40+ wpm.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the medical well-being and safety of participants per FDA/ICH/GCP HIPAA guidelines and study protocols.
• Overall site leadership focusing on safety, efficiency, and protocol compliance.
• Evaluates participant eligibility for enrollment.
• Participates in successful delivery and retention of study participants.
• Interacts with sponsors, clients and team members in a collaborative manner.
• Maintains accurate data recording and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Participates in Investigator Meetings and ongoing education to stay current on recruiting issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned based on study needs.
