Job summary

Alcanza, a growing multi-site clinical research company, seeks a Clinical Research Physician (Internal Medicine or Endocrinology) to join the Tampa Bay Medical Research site in Clearwater. The role is part-time and reports to Austin Wing.

The physician will oversee daily trial activities, ensure patient safety, and enforce protocol and regulatory compliance per ICH/FDA/GCP guidelines and HIPAA. Collaboration with sponsors and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and valid physician license in state of practice.
• Board certification in area of specialty.
• CPR required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures medical well-being and safety of study participants in compliance with FDA/ICH/GCP and HIPAA.
• Provides overall site leadership with focus on patient safety, protocol and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluates and screens participants to enroll eligible subjects.
• Participates in recruitment, retention, and successful delivery of study activities.
• Collaborates with sponsors, clients, and team members; maintains meticulous data recording and protocol adherence.
