Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Technician will work in the Core Laboratory under the supervision of a supervisor and/or Medical Laboratory Technologist on duty. Responsibilities include performing a variety of complex and routine tests within the Core Laboratory, complying with all safety and regulatory requirements. The role involves rotating weekends and scheduled holidays. The technician will participate in interdepartmental collaboration to provide the highest quality patient care.

Requirements

• At minimum, an associate degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an approved program.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician by the New York State Education Department.
• One year of relevant laboratory experience.
