Job summary

Sutter Health in San Francisco is seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join the CPMC Van Ness Laboratory. You will perform pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures, including phlebotomy, specimen processing and quality control, ensuring accurate results and patient safety.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree prior to start, CLS-Generalist licensure, and the ability to work varied shifts, 8-hour daytime blocks, with weekend as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required prior to start date.
• CLS-Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist certification/licensure.
• Experience in handling pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality control, quality assurance and waived/moderate/high complexity testing as applicable.
• If assigned to Transfusion Service, perform blood product preparation, inventory management and issuing blood for transfusion.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations and ensure patient privacy and safety.
