Position Description Summary/Purpose :

The Radiography Program, part of the School of Nursing and HealthProfessions, at Goodwin University is seeking an ARRT certifiedradiologic technologist to serve as an adjunct clinical instructorin our evening/weekend radiography program. This is an adjunctposition to perform clinical site visits for the radiographyprogram. You would be responsible for supervising students duringtheir assignments in various clinical education settings.

*This would be for a Spring 2027January start*

The two shifts we have available:

• Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am – 4:30 pm
• Mondays, Wednesdays,Fridays and Saturdays from 3 pm – 11:30pm

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :

• Facilitate the students clinical experience at a variety ofclinical facilities
• Review and provide weekly feedback to students on clinicaltasks and other assignments as appropriate.
• Maintaining knowledge of program mission and goals
• Understanding the clinical objectives and clinical evaluation system and evaluating students’ clinical competence
• Providing students with clinical instruction andsupervision
• Participating in the JRCERT assessment process, asappropriate
• Maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures,and student progress
• Monitoring and enforcing program policies and procedures

Other Functions:

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation dictates.
• Maintains professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends.
• Assists other radiography department staff as needed to promotea team effort.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill :

• Demonstrated commitment to promote diversity, equity, andinclusion, and work in an environment in which all members of theUniversity community are treated with respect and dignity.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical partners,colleagues and students
• Direct general radiography, mobile radiography and emergencyroom clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years of suchexperience

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree is required; Bachelor ofScience degree preferred
• Clinical supervision experience with radiography students ispreferred.
• An active ARRT Certification
• Eligibility for licensure as a radiographer in the State ofConnecticut
• Potential exists for the applicant to obtain a radiographerlicense in the state of Massachusetts
