Job summary

Easterseals Central Illinois is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to support clean, safe environments across our facilities in Peoria. This non-exempt, part-time role (25 hours/week) operates Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–5:00pm, at the Peoria Service Center.

The ideal candidate will maintain infection control standards, assist with supply management, and work independently while prioritizing tasks in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience.
• Previous experience in an office or healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain therapy rooms, client kitchen areas, bathrooms, and other assigned spaces, ensuring infection control and safety by organizing equipment and resources.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of bio-hazardous materials following safety protocols.
• Supply and Inventory Management: Stock and organize cleaning supplies, first aid kits, evaluation, and testing materials.
• Safety and Compliance: Identify and report safety hazards to the supervisor; adhere to policies and standards.
