Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for a day shift (7:00am-3:30pm) in Chicago, IL. This full-time role cleans patient areas, floors and fixtures, replenishes supplies, and assists with room setup and grounds maintenance as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing and related duties
• Clean and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors; replenish supplies
• Strip, buff and apply wax to floors regularly
• Empty trash and transport waste; maintain cleanliness of patient areas
• Move furniture/equipment to keep spaces orderly; set up rooms as needed
• Maintain outside grounds in summer and assist with snow removal in winter
