Job summary

Open Eyes Vision Center in Frisco, TX is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to join our clinics located in Frisco, McKinney, and Garland. Part-time, averaging 8-32 hours per week. Saturdays are required- always our busiest days in the clinic.

You will perform both clinical duties and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations and an excellent patient experience. Training is provided; prior optometry office experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Prior medical/optometry office experience preferred but not required (training provided).
• Excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and sanitize equipment.
• Escort patients, record medical history, and perform basic pre-tests (auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity).
• Educate patients on eye health and contact lens care.
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies.
• Greet and assist patients at check-in.
• Schedule appointments.
• Keep clinic and reception areas clean and welcoming.
