Job summary

Ride Care is seeking a Transport Driver to support client transportation within and beyond our contracted area. This part-time, as-needed role emphasizes safety, professional interactions with staff and families, and reliable documentation of trips and incidents.

The driver will coordinate routes with dispatch, maintain logs, and report any vehicle issues promptly, working with Directors and Field Supervisors to optimize efficiency. A high school diploma and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean driving record essential.
• Experience coordinating routes and data entry helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform long- and short-distance driving to transport clients.
• Coordinate routes and schedules with dispatchers to optimize on-time arrivals.
• Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for trips.
• Maintain detailed logs of hours, trips, miles, and incidents.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, and violations promptly to supervisors.
• Enter data into Samsara system and submit monthly reports.
• Collaborate with Operations team to update facility contacts and routes.
• Drive efficiencies to reduce transport times while ensuring safety.
• Handle interactions with facility staff, clients, and family members professionally.
