Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of assigned locations. Daily tasks include basic janitorial duties, emptying trash receptacles, sanitizing restrooms and breakrooms, dusting surfaces, and performing miscellaneous job‑related duties. You will also perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal or project requirements.

Safety & PPE

• All employees will be provided and required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment for all functions.
• All employees must comply with COVID‑19 policies as required by state, local, and customer mandates.

Responsibilities

• Basic janitorial duties
• Emptying trash receptacles, disposing trash into dumpsters, and bagging for proper disposal
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other facilities
• Dust surfaces and maintain cleanliness
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Adhere to safety procedures, including mixing and using cleaning solutions, reporting equipment or product needs, and following infection control policies
• Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance; complete assigned cleaning area according to schedule
• Represent City Wide Jani positively, being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, co‑workers, and staff

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions; perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass a drug test
• Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
