The Chesapeake Bay Foundation Inc. seeks a Clean the Bay Day Assistant based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a part-time temporary role for December through May, with hours ranging from 4 to 30 per week and a total cap of 500 hours.

The position pays $18 per hour and requires strong written and verbal communication, Excel/Word/Outlook proficiency, and the ability to work independently or with a team. CTBD planning and volunteer coordination will be key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Self-initiative and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several phases of an event.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience (paid or unpaid) that builds relevant competencies for CTBD program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, organize, coordinate and mobilize partners and volunteers for Clean the Bay Day.
• Develop and promote registration materials and sponsorship opportunities.
• Recruit, manage and interact with CTBD volunteers.
• Prepare, disseminate and collect event materials and giveaways.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for the CTBD program with CBF staff.
• Provide general office/administrative support including data entry and filing.
