Beacon Hill Schools in Georgia is seeking a Part-Time Classroom Support Teacher to assist Lead and Assistant Teachers in daily operations of a preschool serving infants through school age. This role is PRN and flexible, with scheduling that varies week to week based on school needs and support availability.

The position is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work under 30 hours per week, including college students in our college town community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with children preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily lesson plans and routines per Frog Street curriculum.
• Step into classrooms to maintain continuity during staff absences.
• Engage children in hands-on, play-based learning.
• Provide individualized attention and support to children.
• Ensure safety and supervision at all times.
• Support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Aid with diapering, toileting, meals, rest, and routines.
• Collaborate with Lead/Assistant teachers and admin.
• Communicate respectfully with children, families, and colleagues.
• Adapt to different age groups and routines.
• Follow DECAL regulations and school policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming classroom.
• Support daily parent communication as directed.
