Job summary

ISD 728 is seeking an Instructional Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School to support classroom activities and supervise students in various school settings. The role includes tutoring, material preparation, and helping maintain an orderly learning environment.

You will collaborate with teachers, manage classroom materials, and assist with data collection while upholding confidentiality and school policies. The position also involves lunchroom supervision and basic office tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and staff.
• Experience with classroom technology is desirable.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the classroom with tutoring students and data collection for classroom management.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and set up/clean up for class.
• Use positive behavior support techniques as directed.
• Assist in producing materials used during class time for effective classroom management.
• Maintain confidentiality of family and program information.
• Work as a team member with staff to promote a positive educational environment.
• Supervise students in lunchroom, classroom, playground, and other areas.
• Perform general duties such as filing, copying, data entry, and answering phones.
• Sell, take and tally tickets for school events.
