Job summary

St. Brendan School in Hilliard, OH is seeking a part-time Classroom Aide to support the teacher and students. Under direct supervision, you will help plan and implement lesson activities and assist with routine classroom tasks.

The role requires an aide license or eligibility, completion of FBI and BCI background checks, and a High School diploma. You will interact with students during meals and help maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.

Qualifications

• Hold an appropriate aide license or be eligible to obtain one before starting to work.
• Current FBI and BCI background checks are required.
• High School degree is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic clerical skills and ability to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in classroom instruction and small group tutoring.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and cheerful learning environment.
• Develop positive relationships with administration, students, families, and volunteers; provide on-the-job training and communicate with parents regularly.
• Assist Teacher with reports and keeping student files, safeguarding privacy of records.
• Assist in meal times and serve as a positive role model.
• Follow policies and procedures as assigned.
• Perform supervising duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Assist with various projects as requested.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
