Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a part-time, non-exempt student to support engineers and project teams with routine drafting, data collection, and permit applications, paid hourly. Under close supervision, you will assist with design sketches and permit materials as part of a dynamic project team based in Frisco, Texas.

Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations, plus preparing marketing proposals, collecting field data, and maintaining the technical library.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree at an accredited college or university.
• Proficiency with basic engineering calculations and software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with fundamental project tasks such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, CAD and other relevant software and hardware tools.
• Other duties may be assigned.
