Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a part-time, non-exempt intern to support engineers and the CAD team in Texas. Under close supervision, you will perform routine tasks requiring fundamentals in engineering, math, and construction concepts.

You will assist with graphic materials, design sketches, study materials, and permit applications, while gaining practical field and office experience. As a Civil Engineering student, you will contribute to quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations,

Qualifications

• Student status in Civil Engineering or related discipline at an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assist with checking engineering calculations.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assist in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assist in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assist in maintaining the technical library.
• Perform routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, CAD and other relevant software and hardware tools.
