Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a part-time, non-exempt engineering support student in Civil Engineering for our Frisco, TX office. You will assist engineers and the project team with routine tasks, graphics preparation, study materials, and permit applications while gaining hands-on experience with CAD tools and design calculations.

Under close supervision, you will contribute to quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and data collection, helping maintain the technical library and supporting marketing

Qualifications

• Student status in Civil Engineering or an appropriate related discipline at an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with fundamental project tasks such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
• Other duties may be assigned.
