Job summary

The City of Eureka is seeking temporary/part-time Maintenance Workers to support the Wastewater Collection Utility Division and related public works tasks. Experience in utility and sewer work is desirable.

Under supervision, you\'ll perform construction, maintenance and repair of city infrastructure including streets, traffic controls, parks, and landscape features. You may operate varied equipment and perform sign installation, drainage, weed abatement, and park maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of light, medium, and heavy equipment related to streets, parks, and related facilities.
• Performs weed abatement duties to reduce hazards to vehicles and pedestrians.
• Maintains and repairs streets, signs, drainage, and park areas; assists in traffic control and general maintenance.
