Job summary

Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to join the Circulation team. Under supervision, you will issue library cards, check out materials, answer patron questions, and help with daily cash handling and account inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service or library experience
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Check out library materials using the automated circulation system
• Assist the public with library card applications
• Answer directional questions at circulation desk and over the phone
• Operate cash register for fees
• Perform circulation functions and respond to renewals, overdue and lost items
• Shelf materials and assist with collection maintenance
• Process refunds and deposits from safe
• Support other departments during emergencies
