Job summary

Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Part-Time Commissioned Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff, congregants, and guests during services and events.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, monitoring access, patrolling the campus, responding to incidents, and coordinating with church leadership to enforce policies. The role requires strong English communication, reliability, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security/Law Enforcement/Military experience (preferred).
• One year of on-the-job training experience (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Must obtain DPS/PSB Level 2/3/4 Certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and congregants in a professional, courteous manner.
• Answer and route incoming calls; respond to inquiries from staff, visitors, and congregants.
• Monitor facility access control systems to ensure secure entry and exit.
• Maintain visitor sign-in logs and issue visitor IDs.
• Ensure building security after hours by checking doors and setting alarms.
• Conduct campus patrols and inspect doors for security breaches or suspicious activity.
• Monitor parking lots and external areas; secure the property.
• Identify and report safety hazards and incidents; create detailed reports.
• Set up/remove traffic cones for events; operate and maintain security carts.
• Direct traffic to ensure safe flow during events and services.
• Enforce church policies and OSHA safety standards.
• Attend and provide security support for church events.
