Right At School is hiring Educators to work directly with kids in after-school programs at partner schools in Washington. You’ll lead activities, facilitate safe and structured environments, and build relationships to support children’s learning and development.

Educators gain hands-on experience in education, with shifts Mon-Fri and split AM/PM times. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication with families, and a positive, student-centered approach.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session, take attendance and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons suitable for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and assist with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions.
• Address minor conflicts with positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off about their child’s day.
• Log incidents, injuries, or safety concerns with the Program Manager.
• Set up and clean up the program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff.

As an Educator, you'll work directly with kids

leading activities, facilitating a safe and structured environment, and building relationships — while gaining valuable experience in education and child development.

Educator Pay Range: $18-20 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday Split Shift, must be available for both shifts each day.

• Before School: Tues-Fri 6:30-9:30am, Mon 6:30am-10:30am
• After School: Mon-Fri 3:45-6pm

What You'll Do

• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions, ensuring a safe and structured environment
• Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance techniques
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child's day
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to your Program Manager or site lead promptly; log incident reports
• Set up and clean up program space and materials each day
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred)
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with both children and adults
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part‑time schedule
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout a shift
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to support additional program locations if needed

Washington State Requirements

• First Aid and hands‑on CPR
• Cleared tuberculosis (TB) test
• Food Handlers Card
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required
• Background Check with fingerprinting
