Coast Guard Community Services Command in Alameda, CA is seeking a Part-Time Child Care Assistant (PT 6921) for the Alameda CDC. The role supports early childhood education, supervises children, and helps implement age-appropriate activities under supervision of the director and staff.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, and at least one year of experience with children. Candidates must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and pass background and medical clearance

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• One year of general experience with children.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
• Able to pass Tier 1 background checks and medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver early childhood education activities.
• Assist in curriculum development with staff.
• Supervise children in classroom, playground, and common areas.
• Ensure safety and maintain attendance records and reports.
• Support snack/meals preparation where applicable.
