Job summary

Westridge Elementary in Frankfort, KY is seeking a part-time Child Care Aide for the 2026-2027 school year to support the Franklin County Schools Child Care Program.

The role reports to the Child Care Program Director and participates in supervising children, planning activities, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all students.

Starting pay is $15.30 per hour with a flexible schedule and opportunities to contribute to a positive school community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as required by Kentucky law.
• Experience working with children in an organized setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitors children in small or large groups to ensure their safety.
• Follows procedures to safeguard the health and safety of children.
• Assists the director in planning various activities for the children.
• Assists with organizing materials.
• Promotes positive parent and child interactions and activities.
• Participate in staff activities and in special training programs.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
