Job summary

Saint Joseph’s University seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry at the Lancaster Campus. The role focuses on undergraduate instruction, with opportunities to teach lecture and/or laboratory sections in GOB courses for allied health programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree; a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry and prior college teaching are preferred. In-person teaching with standard university expectations applies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field preferred.
• Experience teaching at the undergraduate level preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety and instructional technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to students in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
• Instruct assigned courses with syllabi and instructional materials.
• Use learning management systems to deliver instruction and track grades.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and labs aligned with departmental goals; maintain course records and final grades.
