University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a Part-time Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Chemistry or Biochemistry to support the School of Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. The role is hired per course each semester with a flexible load and possible remote options.

Candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry; a doctoral degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Earned the minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, in order to instruct introductory chemistry laboratory sections.
• Earned the minimum of a master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, in order to instruct chemistry courses.
• Preference: earned doctorate in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
