Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites applications for a pool of Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer of Biology to teach on a per-course basis. Opportunities may be on-site, with partial remote and remote options.

This is a part-time, fixed-term academic year (9-month) instructional staff position; teaching hours will vary with a load of 1–12 credits per semester, and successful candidates may be considered for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Earned the minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Earned the minimum of a master’s degree in biology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred: Doctorate in Biology or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline

Master’s degree in Biology or related discipline

Doctorate (PhD) in Biology or related discipline
