Job summary

NUWAY Alliance is seeking a Chemical Dependency Technician (NUWAY III) at our South Minneapolis location in a part-time capacity. The role supports clients through the treatment process, assists counselors, and helps manage crises with professionalism and discretion.

Required: 18+, First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration cert (Residential), ability to pass Minnesota DHS background check, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification and Medication Administration certificate (Residential only) obtained within 30 days of starting work.
• Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English; document services in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients from admission through discharge, supporting treatment goals.
• Supervise and manage client behavior and aid in crisis situations as needed.
• Assist on-duty counselors in direct support of program goals and HIPAA compliance.
