The Russell Martin Foundation is seeking an In-House Charity Accountant/Financial Controller for a part-time role (20 hours, 10-2) in Southwick. You will own day-to-day financial operations, deliver monthly management accounts, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the Board with strategic financial planning.

Key duties include Xero-ledger management, monthly reporting, cash flow and budgeting, and interaction with auditors and trustees.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or QBE with charity finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Charity SORP and tax compliance (Gift Aid, VAT).
• Proficient in Xero and advanced Excel.
• Ability to manage both accounts and financial reporting for trustees.

Responsabilités

• Financial Accounting & Compliance: maintain ledgers and prepare monthly reports.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Charity SORP and FRS 102.
• Manage restricted/unrestricted funds and donor agreements.
• Coordinate year-end with charity auditors and prepare accounts.
• Oversee budgeting and KPI development with budget holders.
