Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking certified Adjunct Retired Teachers to work in grades 4-12 on a part-time basis and serve as the teacher of record in critical shortage areas. This non-benefit eligible position covers vacancies until a permanent full-time teacher is hired, ensuring students receive instruction from a certified teacher.

Retired teachers will teach up to two sections, attend monthly cluster meetings, complete lesson plans, input grades and attendance in JCampus, and be partnered

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or higher.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two sections and participate in two cluster meetings per month.
• Input student grades and attendance into JCampus; be evaluated by principal using rubrics.
• Partner with a mentor teacher for support.
