Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center of Lubbock is seeking a part-time instructor to teach in a small group (3:1) setting. You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and provide personalized instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT prep and State exams to students of all levels.

As an Instructor, you will deliver quality education, supervise and motivate students, reward progress, document progress, and communicate needs to the center manager.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience.
• State level teaching certification (current or expired, not required for Math Instruction)
• Experience working with Special Education students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality education including Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills and test prep.
• Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour in a 3:1 setting.
• Document student progress and communicate needs to the center manager.
• Create a positive learning environment and inspire students to learn.
